Cacao served in ritual

When cacao is served in ritual, with intention and reverence for nature, the effects create happiness, euphoria, and personal empathy.

About cacao

  • Cacao is the primary ingredient in chocolate when combined with other ingredients like fats, sugar, preservatives, spices, etc.

In these rituals, the cacao is served in its purest form + water for the maximum mental, emotional, and physical benefits.

  • Like most plants, cacao has different strains which have different flavor profiles and health benefits.

The cacao served in these rituals is Criollo, grown in Mesoamerica, and makes up 1-5% of global cacao.

  • Unlike mass-produced cacao, the ceremonial cacao used in these rituals is:

    • Grown in a biodiverse environment

    • Made using wood, clay, or stone; No metal is used

    • 100% handmade

    • Produced by women cacao collectives

Meet Christina

Christina is a community creator, a knowledge seeker, and a bridge between shared experiences. She believes true connection is built through inclusive, safe gatherings—where food and drink become vessels for joy, vulnerability, and meaningful exchange.

Her path with cacao is one of deep respect and continued learning. She often travels to Mesoamerica to sit with her teachers and guides, immersing herself in the oral traditions and sacred land of the ancient Maya. She participates in rituals passed down for generations by the original keepers and protectors of this knowledge. This knowledge is then woven into the rituals she shares with you.

Christina is not of Mayan descent and does not claim the role of a spiritual leader. With intention, she does not use the term “cacao ceremony” out of respect for the ancient lineages to whom this tradition belongs. Instead, she offers spaces inspired by these teachings, where cacao and fire are shared with reverence, and the wisdom of nature is honored. Her work is not about taking—it is about listening, learning, and holding space for others to connect with cacao in a way that is grounded, ethical, and heart-centered.
